Do you offer free estimates?

Yes, for remodeling purposes. We would love to meet you at your home to discuss your project needs and obtain any necessary measurements, information or pictures for our estimate. Do you only install siding?

No. At Elk River Exteriors, we can handle your entire home exterior. In addition to siding, our experienced team also installs roofing, decks, gutters, windows, and doors to ensure you get a total home makeover. How long will our project take?

Several factors go into a project’s timeline, such as size, scope changes, unplanned repairs (rot, code upgrades, etc.), and weather. We can provide estimates, but they are only that until the job begins and we get a better grasp of what’s to come.

Siding replacement times vary. Smaller homes may take less than a week, while larger and more detailed designs may take several weeks to finish. Timing also depends on whether products are in stock or if we need to special order materials. Our dedicated team of siding installers can help you determine how long the project will take and what to expect with the process.

Do you take care of the permit?

We can budget for it in most scenarios, but general building permits vary due to project cost and city/county specific. ERE always pulls the permit vs. the homeowner. Trades such as plumbing and electrical require their own permits in addition to a general construction permit. We will discuss this with you during the estimating process.

Are you licensed and/or insured?

Yes, to both, and we can provide you with documentation if needed.

Can we talk to any past customers?

Yes, we can provide references for specific projects as necessary. We can also provide addresses for you to drive by and look at specific types of work or colors you are interested in.

Do you have a job supervisor on site?

Depending on the scope of work, but when a crew is onsite, there is always a crew lead who is the main point of contact. We take great pride in having the ability to be using the same crews and subcontractors we have for such a long period of time. While there is always a main point of contact/crew lead, our office staff will make visits to your home or job site to ensure work is going as planned, drop off needed material, help with clean up, etc. Homeowners are always able to call or text anyone in our office staff as well and we will respond quickly to address any questions or concerns.

Do you offer financing?

Yes, we do. See our financing page to see a couple of our options and how to see if you qualify.

What is the lead time for our project?

Lead times depend on different factors, such as material type, season, project size and type of project. Once we discuss your project with you, we will be able to give you a better idea of how long it will take to complete your home project.

What type of training and certifications do you have?

Besides years of experience, all our office staff, roofers and siding installers go through ongoing training for both certifications and to renew their credentials for additional levels of extended warranties.

Roofing installers are required to take tests to be certified.
The office staff is required to renew their credentials in order to offer additional levels of extended warranties.
Vinyl siding installers take training classes to be VSI (vinyl siding institute) certified.
Office staff and siding installers attend ongoing training for James Hardie Fiber Cement and LP Smart Side.

Do you offer any warranties?

All products or manufacturers carry their own warranties. We will register your chosen product for warranty upon project completion and payment. For workmanship warranties, we follow the state guidelines that state 1 year, however in reality the way they are written, it’s a 12 year warranty. If there would be a workmanship issue, likely issues would have arrived long before 12 years time.
